Year 4 Trip to Lullingstone Villa – July 2016

This term, Year 4 have been studying the Ancient Romans and on what has been the hottest day this year so far we were able to spend time studying the remains of a Roman Villa in Lullingstone with much appreciated air conditioned facilities!

The children were able to learn all about how the history of the Villa and what life was like for the Romans who lived in the villa. The children also learnt about the story that was depicted in the floor mosaic, some of which can still be seen today.

Both classes had lots of fun taking turns using the hands on displays, looking at different skeletons and dressing up in replica Roman clothing!
